MicroBeat is designed with a privacy-first, zero-tracking philosophy. We do not sell your personal data, we do not track you across third-party websites or apps, and we do not serve behavioral or programmatic advertising.

1. Information We Collect

When you use the MicroBeat iOS application or website, we collect minimal data strictly necessary to provide game functionality:

  • Anonymous Device Identifier: A randomly generated UUID stored locally on your device to track your daily fuel limits, puzzle attempts, and win streaks without requiring an account.
  • Gameplay & Telemetry Data: Round completion status, time-to-guess, stages revealed (0.1s to 6s), and game category choices to calculate your accuracy percentiles and leaderboard scores.
  • Account Information (Optional): If you choose to link an account via Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or Email, we store your email address and credential identifier to synchronize your scores and purchases across devices.
  • Subscription & Purchase Records: Purchase transactions and subscription statuses are processed securely via Apple In-App Purchases and RevenueCat. We never have access to your credit card or financial details.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:

  • To serve daily song trivia challenges and calculate daily reset timers.
  • To unlock Pro features, unlimited fuel, and decade archives for active subscribers.
  • To maintain global and decade leaderboards.
  • To prevent fraudulent attempts and protect game integrity.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted industry providers for infrastructure and subscription management:

  • Apple App Store: Handles all in-app billing, subscriptions, and payouts subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
  • RevenueCat: Manages subscription status validation, entitlement receipts, and trial activations.
  • Apple Music API: Provides licensed 30-second audio preview snippets used as trivia clues. No personal Apple Music account access is required to play.
  • Cloudflare Workers & D1: Delivers low-latency global backend API endpoints and secure encrypted database storage.

4. Data Retention & Account Deletion

Anonymous guest gameplay records are retained to maintain aggregated leaderboard percentiles. If you create an account, you may request full deletion of your account and associated gameplay records directly within the app settings (Settings → Delete Account) or by contacting us at privacy@zeugmalabs.com.

5. Children's Privacy

MicroBeat does not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If you believe that a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately so we can remove it.
